The Player
|
He walks in the room with confidence and flair
My attention is his, I can't help but stare
I watch as he moves, intrigued as I gaze
I'm captured completely, as tho in a daze
His smile is sweet, to warm any heart
To steal your composure, this is his art
His words are so fluent, like a silver tongue
Captivating all ages, the old and the young
I've got your number, a player you are
But I can't seem to shake you, it's all so bizarre
Come closer, my demon, choose if you dare
Come meet your adversary, if you care
I'll play your game and believe all your lies
Then reveal in the end it was just a disguise
I'll give you a taste of the pain that you spread
In honor of all of the hearts you had tread
Can you feel my anger, yes I have been burned
And through it all, of this much I learned
I can spot your kind in a heartbeat and flash
And hearts unfamiliar, their reaction is rash
But come to me now, I challenge your plight
I promise this much, you won't want to fight
I'll show you such passion like you've never seen
Desire so perfect, you'll make me your queen
Then once I've accomplished my point to be made
The falsity of love, this lie then will then fade
And you will be left with pain that is real
Think again, my player, of broken hearts that you deal
