He left her as he found her
Sad and all alone,
She had no one in her life
No one to call her own.

They had started out as friends
Surely that was the way to be,
A friendship that was to blossom
But then fall like leaves on a tree.

Looking back she should have known
How things were going to end,
She was always there for him no matter what
With an ear to gently lend.

Listening to him, laughing with him
He always made her smile,
Spending time with this special guy
Made everything worthwhile.

However, she knew his situation
He had someone else in his life,
But things weren't going well for them
She was cutting into him like a knife.

She was lying and manipulating him
Getting him right where she wanted him to be,
Meeting him was the ultimate goal
She needed to trap him into her destiny.

But his special friend was always there
Even though she was hurting inside,
Seeing what this other woman was doing to him
She just stayed there quietly by his side.

They were spending more time together
seemed strange to her she thought,
But he made her feel so warm and happy
This special friendship could never be bought.

He was opening up to her more and more
Telling her about the other womans lies,
She just sat and listened intently
Being his friend, but with tears in her eyes.

How could she do this to her special friend
It made her so angry and upset to the core,
This woman was hurting the one thing she cared about
The person from whom she wanted more.

Suddenly he told her he had ended it
The relationship with the other woman was done,
She was shocked but happy he had finally seen sense
Been strong enough to do it, glad she hadn't won.

They talked about their feelings one day
Realising they both felt the same,
There was more to this friendship than met the eye
It wasn't just a lie or a game.

They were having fun together as always
Getting closer and closer every day,
Sharing intimate things with each other
She didn't want these times to ever go away.

But then suddenly he disappeared
She was worried about her special friend,
The person she was falling in love with
The one she wanted to be with 'til the end.

She did some checking up one night
But was shocked and devastated to find,
He was with the manipulating other woman
The one who had lied and messed with his mind.

She fought back the tears with a saddened heart
It was over she knew, deep down inside,
The special person who made such a difference to her
He was just like the rest, he had lied.

With tears in her eyes she asked why he had done it
Why he had lied and stolen her heart,
The one honest person who stood by him
The woman who was always there from the start.

All she got was silence
She knew he woudn't face her at all,
Maybe he didn't mean to hurt her like this
But that is something that will stay behind his wall.

The wall of his cold dark heart
That had hurt and made her cry so much,
It must have been just a game for him
To gain her love and her trust.

Well he must have got what he wanted
To be the center of attention in her heart,
But maybe one day he will realise
Just how foolish he was to break that heart.
