I'll get over you "It's just a matter
of time".
the stars won't show and the sun won't shine.
I'll give up trying that's all I can do,
there will be no more sadness and blue for you!
We can go thru life as if your love didn't exist,
telling each other, "It's you that I will miss.
Looking back and longing for yesterday,
you're love died for me one painful day.
You can't have back what you don't want,
you can't fix what you don't want to exist,
I'm not the one that you will miss!
I needed you in a time of grief,
you left me with no love for relief.
Anyone else your heart would not have run,
now it's to late to undo what's been done.
I give up I can't try anymore,
somehow I can't shut the door.
I'll push it closed a little at a time,
shuting the door to the stars and sunshine.
Living in darkness of a love that didn't exist,
thoughts, feelings, and emotions that you will miss!
Selfishness and pride will pay a high price one day,
all things cherished you will have to hide away.
You gave up these things long ago,
now you cease to let them grow!
It's your love and freedom that doesn't exist,
it's not me that you will miss; It's you!
I gave you back what you once had,
I gave you what you lost that made you mad.
I gave you back your heart and soul,
you turned around and let mine go!
