A Rose Upon My Wall

The picture of a rose graces my
office wall
Cut with care from your garden as I recall.
Putting it in a perfectly chosen vase
On your table it was lovingly placed.
In the background hang rustic, homey curtains
Portraying the warmth of the home that's for certain.
The rose exemplifies the beauty and character of the owner
She has been this way since I've known her.
The original rose, I'm sure is no longer there
The picture remains for I truly care
For the Lady who grew the rose
My feelings for her, I'm sure she knows.
